The SRM Group, well known for its educational institutions, is now entering the real-estate business with its first project named SRM Green Pearl coming up at Potheri, near Kattankulathur/Maraimalai Nagar, South of Chennai.
Given that the SRM Engineering College was established in this region way back in 1985 (almost 25 years ago) and that the institution has grown well to be a deemed university now, it is only natural for the SRM group to maintain large land parcels adjacent to its campus and wanting to cash in on the real-estate boom near its campus. Arun Excello's Estancia project is just before the SRM University campus.
SRM Green Pearl will be coming up in around 5 acres of land and will offer 364 apartments in the price range of Rs.14 Lakhs to Rs.16 Lakhs.
